1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit it and reads again on your next visit. We treat similar technologies the same way — the browser’s local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage), pixels and third-party scripts. Wherever this policy says “cookies”, it means these too.
2. Legal basis
Storing information on your device and accessing it is governed by Section 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications, as amended by Act No. 297/2025 Coll. (effective from 12 November 2025). It is permitted only with your demonstrable consent that meets the conditions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) — freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous. Without consent, a website may store only what is strictly necessary to provide the service you have explicitly requested. Where cookies are used to process personal data, the GDPR and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection also apply.
- Necessary cookies are used without consent under this statutory exemption.
- Analytics and marketing cookies may run only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We do not rely on legitimate interest for them. Pre-ticked boxes, scrolling or browser settings are not considered consent.
3. What this website uses
Today this website uses only necessary cookies. We do not use analytics or marketing tools, so we do not ask for your consent — the banner only informs you (button “Got it”). If we ever deploy such a tool, the banner will first ask for your consent and we will update this policy.
Besides necessary cookies, we use the following tools only with your consent:
- Google Analytics 4 (category Analytics) — visit statistics: how many people visit the website, which parts they read and where they came from. We only see the data in aggregate.
- Meta Pixel (category Marketing) — measuring and targeting ads on Facebook and Instagram. It may track you across websites and build a profile of your interests.
There is no embedded content from other providers (maps, videos) on this website.
4. Consent, its scope and validity
As the website uses only necessary cookies, it does not need consent. After you click “Got it”, the website remembers in the necessary cookie cookie_suhlas that you closed the notice, so that it is not shown again. No ID or other information about you is stored.
On your first visit, a cookie banner appears in which you can:
- accept all,
- reject all except necessary ones — the “Reject all” button is on the same layer and the same size as “Accept all”,
- or choose by category (button “Allow selected”); no optional category is switched on in advance.
Closing the banner with the cross (×) or the Esc key means rejecting all optional cookies, even if you allowed them before. Consent is not a condition for accessing the content.
- Consent validity: 12 months. After that we will ask you again.
- After you reject, we will ask again no sooner than in 12 months — earlier only if the use of cookies changes substantially (a new purpose or a new third party) or if you clear your choice in the browser.
- Your choice is stored in the necessary cookie
cookie_suhlaswith a random consent ID, time, choices by category and the banner version. It does not contain your IP address or name. - Your consent ID: —
5. How to change your choice or withdraw consent
You can change your choice — and withdraw any consent given — at any time and as easily as you made it: click Cookie settings (the link is also in the footer of every page). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
You can also view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
- Safari: Settings → Privacy
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Blocking or deleting necessary cookies may cause parts of the website not to work properly.
6. List of cookies
The list is built from the same configuration as the cookie banner, so it is always up to date. No cookie stored on the basis of consent lasts longer than 12 months.
Apart from your cookie choice, the browser only stores the light or dark mode (grifko-rezim), and only when you switch it yourself — this is necessary because it only fulfils your request.
7. Third parties and transfers outside the EU
No third-party analytics or advertising tools run on this website.
Cookies in the Analytics and Marketing categories are set by third parties acting under their own terms as independent controllers or processors. Data may be transferred to the USA; the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

8. Your rights and supervisory authorities
Where cookies are used to process personal data, under the GDPR and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), the right to object (Art. 21) and the right to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). 9. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies, tools or regulations change; the date of the last update is at the top. In case of a substantial change (a new purpose or a new third party), the cookie banner will ask you again.
